Our new home
We just moved into the Round Table Realty building on Race Track Road in Fruit Cove, Florida where we partner with The Playful Family to provide family focused, child led, but clinician directed therapy in a bright, kid-friendly space designed to make therapy feel like the best part of the week. The toys and activities are hidden behind neutral decor to avoid distraction as the therapist hand-selects and lays out the ones specifically curated to address your child's individual goals. Then your child makes the choice of which of these to interact with first. Â

Client reviews
"My daughter received feeding therapy for 9 months, at age 7, and we stopped when Chelsea moved out of town. My daughter tried a few new foods during the time she was receiving therapy. Soon after the last therapy, she started trying even more foods, it felt as if in her mind she kept going to see Chelsea, and she felt confident and interested in new flavors and textures almost on a daily basis. At home, we tried a similar approach as done during therapy, and she slowly increased her regular food options. We also started letting her do stuff in the kitchen. Surprisingly, 4 months ago, she started baking breads and desserts, all on her own, without recipes or measurements! She got inspired by watching Nailed It on Netflix, and she has made a variety (all edible and yummy!) of baked foods, all within our dietary restrictions. She did not try her own creations at first, but after seeing how her friends and family loved what she made, she started trying and eating her own baked goods. We owe Chelsea all of this, we will be forever grateful!"
"My daughter was diagnosed with Childhood Apraxia of Speech 20 years ago, when she was just 2 years old, and I just wanted to say how lucky we were to get Chelsea Knowles as her speech pathologist. My daughter is about to celebrate her 22nd birthday at the end of this month, and because of Chelsea's dedication and determination to get my daughter involved with early intervention, today you would never know that she was ever challenged with her speech. Looking back, I can remember the anguish I felt as a new mom, trying to cope with something that was completely alien to me, but I knew right away that Chelsea was going to give my daughter the best chance for the future. There were tons of difficult and frustrating times, but Chelsea was always a bright spot in our day. I could tell she really loved her job. I appreciated that she took the time to get to know my daughter, and I admired her creativity in planning the sessions. So all these years later, as I've watched my daughter grow from a quiet and timid little girl into the beautiful and confident young lady she is now, I want to take this opportunity to say thank you, Chelsea, for all your hard work and your strong belief in the power of a positive attitude! :)"
"Chelsea has been absolutely wonderful for my now 7 year old son. We have been seeing Chelsea for Food Therapy for my son since Nov 2019. My son at the time only ate very few things and was EXTREMELY picky to the point he was not gaining weight or growing like he should on his growth chart. Our doctor recommended we try therapy for our son. I found Chelsea on a Facebook search and thank goodness I did! Over the past two years, my son has thrived with food. He now tries foods that I never thought in a million years he would try. He has eaten out at restaurants and at kids' parties for the first time in his life! He has also gained weight and gotten back onto his growth curve. I can only thank Chelsea for this! She is AMAZING. She is patient, kind, and extremely creative. My son thoroughly enjoys seeing her every week!"
"We're so blessed to have found Chelsea earlier this year. It became apparent that my 2 year old was behind in speech, and being at home most of 2020 definitely didn't help. It was a rocky start (he wasn't used to seeing others besides his dad and myself) but it only took a couple of sessions for him to love seeing Chelsea and participating actively during the session. Not only has his speech improved (we started with less than 5 words and we were at 50+ after only 8 sessions!), but he's also improved in socializing with others and playing with toys appropriately. Chelsea was able to determine his needs quickly and plan out sessions specifically tailored to him. She is a true professional and has been great with communication and accommodating us. Thank you for everything Chelsea!!"
"Chelsea has a gift for working with children. We transitioned to Chelsea after my daughter wasn't showing much progress in speech therapy with a previous therapist. Through sessions with Chelsea, we noticed great improvements in my daughter's speech. I appreciated that I was able to be involved. Although not a necessary part of the process, Chelsea was more than happy to provide resources and exercises for me to help my daughter practice at home throughout the week. My daughter was enthusiastic about practice at home and looked forward to meeting with Chelsea weekly as their sessions were productive, playful, fun, and engaging. She has since graduated from speech therapy and I attribute it to Chelsea's experience and support. We highly recommend her services."
"Before finding Chelsea, "her first therapist was rigid. She had our daughter in front of a tablet drilling sounds and rushing through the reward of play to get back to work. She was told to stop wiggling. To sit up and stop being silly. When we would go home, she refused to practice her sounds. She would say they were too hard. I felt stuck because speech therapy was really expensive. I started looking for another therapist and found Ms. Chelsea. I was worried and I think I made apologies for my child's enthusiasm and energy. Instead of forcing her to sit still, she met our daughter at her level. She could wobble on pouf cushions while saying her sounds. She gets to play games while doing her work. At her last class, she was "squished" into a sandwich as she practiced saying her words. I have seen how much sensory input is necessary for her to thrive. She loves speech now and we practice at home without a fight. She loves going in and playing in the swing or jumping on the mini trampoline. I'm so glad we found her! If anyone needs a speech therapist in Jacksonville, FL, I'll tag her.""
"We met Chelsea in person and signed up for speech therapy for our daughter. However, due to the social distancing restrictions, Chelsea had to quickly create a virtual program for our daughter's weekly speech therapy sessions. We were worried at first, but her weekly virtual sessions have been engaging and fun for our 3 year old and we can see her improving each week! Can't say enough about Chelsea adapting to the changing environment to still be able to help kids! Highly recommend!"
"We put our son in speech therapy. From the start, Chelsea was friendly and very helpful. Within two months, our kid's speech improved drastically."
"Chelsea was very informative. She seemed to fully understand my child's needs and made recommendations in line with what is needed. I feel confident she will be able to help."
